In light of the deaths of George Floyd and James Scurlock, along with the long history of racism in our country, the WhyArts community stands in solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement and supports those groups who are committed to helping create an anti-racist and just world.
The arts are a powerful healer, and we want to make sure we are part of the healing process. We believe WhyArts is a stronger, more impactful organization because of our commitment to inclusion and diversity. This diversity inspires our community partners, reflects the communities we work with and those we strive to reach.
WhyArts chooses to do the reflective work needed to be a part of the solution. We look forward to helping create a more just community of equity. Take care of yourselves and each other. We are in this together.
