People have always needed heroes. Heroes inspire us to do great things. Our favorite heroes don’t work to
have millions of dollars or admiring fans. They believe that, there are causes bigger than themselves.
Many heroes have risked hardship, danger and even death. Their struggles teach us to dream of making a world
filled with justice, beauty, and peace instead of violence, hatred and suffering. True heroes give us hope
that if we fight hard enough, this dream just might come true.
During the past several weeks, WhyArts? artists have been working with special education students and seniors to think about their own heroes and reflect on these questions—
