My path to leadership, teaching and creating is grounded in an ensemble-based structure. All members of the ensemble are relevant, necessary and carry with them a knowledge of the world shaped by their unique perspective. As a leader, I am strongest when I am most willing to be vulnerable and teach best when I am most willing to learn. In order to do so, establishing a safe place to take risks is key. Once established, an ensemble will inevitably move forward in the most creative and positive way. Leadership and creative partners include The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts, The Kentucky Arts Council, The Shakespeare Theatre Company and Ford’s Theater in D.C., Washington National and Seattle Opera, The Baltimore Lab School, The Nebraska Arts Council, The Rose Theater and Nebraska Shakespeare.
