Lisa has a teaching degree in Elementary Education/Special Education from University of Nebraska/Lincoln, and M.S. in Education from University of Nebraska/ Omaha. She taught in Omaha Public Schools, Las Vegas, Nevada and Brighton, Colorado- then retired in 2013 from the Westside Schools after spending 36 years in the classroom, teaching Special Education and first grade. Lisa was a Dancing Classroom teaching artist for several years and is excited to be back with WhyArts as a Guest Artist.
Lisa is a paper artist and owner of Iddy Biddy Boo Design, her unique greeting cards are printed images of colorful, whimsical original art she creates with cut paper. Inspired by special people, places and moments in her life, she captures her designs using a wide variety of paper. Museums, galleries and book stores throughout the U.S. sell her cards and her large framed original art is in private collections around the United States. One of her large commisioned pieces is featured in the new UNMC Munroe Meyer Institute building.
