Patricia Stastny earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Environmental Studies and her Master’s in Biology with an emphasis in Wildlife Biology and Animal Behavior from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. After graduating, she worked for a few years with a company developing and implementing lesson plans and activities for adults with mental and physical disabilities. After having two children, she spent the next several years as a stay-at-home-mother. During this time, she co-organized a large and active playgroup that brought moms and their children together for playdates and activities. In 2011, Patricia discovered her love and passion for Latin social dancing. Initially learning Rueda, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue and Cumbia, her love for dancing has since expanded into afro-latin dances, such as Kizomba and UrbanKiz. During this time, she also danced with Marty Hebert and the UNO dance team for two years. Patricia taught Kizomba/UrbanKiz locally for three years and was a member of Kiz Cute Omaha, a nine-ladies UrbanKiz dance group. Besides dancing, Patricia enjoys spending time with her family, which includes several four-legged members. Patricial is proud to be a Dancing Classrooms instructor.
