Jim Stevens

Jim holds an MA in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and serves as the Director of Education at Northstar. A Certified Trainer in *A Framework for Understanding Poverty*, he has been committed to the education system since 1986. Jim is passionate about family, work, young people, his faith, and continuous improvement, both personally and professionally. His five-year goal is to develop the region’s premier all-boys afterschool program, with a focus on ongoing improvement and positive impact. Originally from Philadelphia, PA, Jim has been married for over 39 years, has three children and one grandchild, and now calls Nebraska home. His favorite quote, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood,” by Stephen Covey, reflects his approach to life and work.
