Carol Burk

Carol Burk is excited to be joining the WhyArts Board of Directors. She brings personal experience from her days as a teaching artist, liaison, and program director with Dancing Classrooms (the Artery).  

She has been an Educator for almost 2 decades working first as a paraprofessional and then later a teacher in the Omaha Public Schools.

Currently Carol brings her expertise in education to the Nebraska Department of Education as an Early Childhood Education Specialist, supporting school districts across the state, as well as an adjunct at UNO in teacher education.

In her free time, she loves quilting, embroidery and textile art. She also enjoys traveling with her husband, Christian, and spending time with her family.
