Hugo Alberto Zamorano

Hugo Alberto Zamorano

Born in Los Angeles, Hugo Zamorano’s path as an artist began when he discovered Graffiti Writing and Hip Hop. Currently residing in South Omaha, he became a member of Pop’s Boxing Club, mentored at the Kent Bellows Mentoring Program, received his BFA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, helped found the ArteLatinX committee through OLLAS, and became part of the South Omaha Mural Project.


Recently, Zamorano has begun working in theatre and set design as part of the Omaha's Forgotten Century production team as set designer. He continues to paint murals with nonprofits, schools, businesses, and art festivals.

He coaches at CW Boxing Club, serves on the board of the Great Plains Theatre Commons and the Omaha Performing Arts Voices AMPLIFIED! Committee, is a teaching artist with WhyArts, and is on the Nebraska Arts Council Teaching Artist Roster.


Zamorano has been involved in 29 local murals and collections, presented three solo shows, and presented in 28 group and juried art shows. Awards include Best Emerging Artist for 2016, Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards and Best Public Mural “Del Futuro Al Pasado”, Omaha Entertainment and Arts Awards, in 2017.
