Ingrid Nájera

Teaching Artist

Ingrid Nájera

Ingrid is a passionate freelance graphic designer and photographer, whose artistic journey began in the vibrant city of Los Angeles but truly blossomed in the heart of South Omaha. From a young age, she found inspiration all around her, from watching her sister craft drawings and learning the art of sewing from her dad. These early experiences ignited a lifelong love for creativity that would shape her path. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2017 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, awarded a full-ride scholarship that recognized her talent and dedication. Her work is a reflection of her belief that art is a powerful tool for expression and connection. Ingrid’s teaching philosophy centers on honoring each child's unique individuality. She believes in creating a safe space where kids are encouraged to explore, make mistakes, and try again without fear of judgment. Every child learns differently, and it’s her mission as an educator to nurture that diversity and helping each student grow by celebrating their uniqueness. To Ingrid, most children simply want to be seen and heard. As an art teacher, she champions fun, self-expression, and the joy of the creative process, focusing on the journey rather than just the final product. Ingrid’s Goal:
"I am so excited to work within my community and connect with kids who share similar stories. My hope is to inspire, empower, and foster genuine connections through art, showing every child that their voice matters and their creativity is a gift."
