Kristine Swain, Ph.D. is an Associate Dean and Special Education faculty member in the UNO College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences. Her love of the arts started early as she practiced drawing Snoopy over and over and sent her pictures to Charles Schultz. While she isn’t a famous cartoon artist as she once dreamed, she still loves the arts and dogs. Her mother performed with Kids on the Block for northeast Nebraska schools in the early 1990s, and she loves that WhyArts has brought back the Kids on the Block to continue their advocacy work.
