Melany Spiehs works at the University of Nebraska at Omaha as an instructor in Teacher Education. She spent eight years as an early childhood educator for the Omaha Public Schools and is a former Dancing Classrooms teaching artist. Melany is also a certified Nebraska Master Naturalist and enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, three daughters, and dog. She believes that art is critical for survival and has the power to heal, connect, and liberate all.
