Sara Planck

Sara Planck

Sara Planck has a Masters Degree in Education of the Deaf from Gallaudet University, Washington DC with 34 years of teaching experience in the field of Early Childhood and Education of the Deaf at the Iowa School for the Deaf. She tries to maintain her American Sign Language fluency and many years ago taught beginning American Sign Language classes to adults and students through Metropolitan Community College and College for Kids. Sara also earned a Bachelor of Music Education Degree from Augustana with an emphasis in voice and enjoys singing and sharing music through theatre performances.


She has performed on stage in musicals and plays since High School on stages in Sioux Falls, SD, Duluth Mn. and for the last 35 years at many Omaha and Council Bluffs theatres. Sara has lead theatre classes for students ages 4-high school in Superior, WI, Omaha College for Kids, the Omaha Community Playhouse and through WhyArts.


Sara trained in the Dancing Classrooms program in the Summer of 2025 and continues to work on developing these skills in the classes she taught and co- taught this past year. She enjoys working with students and adults of all ages and abilities and looks forward to developing more skills to reach more learners.
